Midwest Vintage Computing Festival

Last month, I visited Vintage Computer Fest Midwest. I met some very smart people and saw some interesting computers from the past. Below are a few of my favorite photos from the event. If you own any of the things in these photos and would like to add something to this post, please feel free to contact me.

Glenn of Lyon Labs gets me up-to-date on Frog related topics. If memory serves me correctly, that is a Web or Gopher protocol browser.

The founder of Corsham Technologies was there selling various kits based on the 6809 CPU design.

A “Membership Card” computer kit.

A Sharp PC-1500 pocket computer.

The Comodore CBM Time. A smart watch predecessor.

The Cactus 6502 in person.

A Toshiba Libretto, an early netbook

An Altair 8800

Various vintage goods for sale.

Up Next

In my next post, I will talk about a topic near and dear to my heart: getting an obsolete computer online. Specifically, a Windows 3.1 computer that I bought at the convention.
